hi from sunday.
and a few pictures from the week, full-on-summer color.
it's all so good right now, in the thick of it,
and i'm trying to do the things i'll miss
when my beloved autumn comes around.
eat as many tomatoes as possible.
and make as many variations of pesto as i can think of.
sit outside as night comes on.
and don't miss too many of the early morning hours.
walk once around the block before bedtime,
and kiss at the bridge at the top of the park.
put off going to the grocery,
and make do with the last of the vegetables, instead.
let the kids stay up a little late,
and sleep in a little later.
and don't mind the wet grass
sit with my tea and do nothing,
just watch the trees move.
don't insist upon proper attire.
read the book i feel like,
or don't read
anything at all,
for a while.
say yes to sudden plans.
and pay attention
to how the light
as we speak.
and farewell to habit.
thank you, e + m, for inviting all of us to join in this month.
it's been wonderful.
